Membership is available to graduates, with an undergraduate degree or its equivalent, from any university or institution of higher education.
Applications are considered by the GWQ Queensland Committee. Membership is based on the financial year.

AFGW is now AGW: To preserve a national association affiliated to Graduate Women International it was necessary to change from a federated structure (AFGW) to a national organisation (AGW). This meant the link between international and national membership would be maintained. Members are reminded that they have to make separate payments to belong at State and National level.
